What is a Septic Riser?

A septic riser is a component of a septic tank that extends above ground to allow easy access to the covers of the tank. This allows the tank to be more easily cleaned and maintained. A majority of the time, these tanks are made for exact sizes and models and therefore can rarely be interchanged between tanks. These risers can be manufactured from a wide variety of materials, including PVC and concrete.
